Working Group on diabetes requires more research to Lantus

The European Association for the Study of Diabetes urged Friday that more research be carried out on a possible link between the use of Sanofi-Aventis SA (SNY) Lantus diabetes drug and an increased risk of cancer.
The organization, known as the EASD, new data published online Friday in the journal Diabetologia, including analysis of a database of Swedish patients found that people of Lantus twice more risk of developing breast cancer against the other insulins.
